If you are a Hairdressing Tutor or a member of staff e.g. Learning Resource Centre etc. Then we would love you to get involved with this community. All you need to do is join.

There are a number of eLearning resources for Hairdressers now some of these include:

• Hairdressing Training, which provides detailed photographic step by step guides of Haircuts and styles combined with lessons and handy tips and techniques. It is freely available to all subscribing Further Education institutions in the UK. It is also available (htmobi.mobi) on mobile devices such as the Iphone, mobile phones, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and playstation portables. This is the first service of its kind.
• Hairdressing on Jorum. Jorum is an elearning repository and contains a number of resources that can be downloaded by authorised staff for use with students via a Virtual Learning Environment. There are a number of Hairdressing resources available, tutors can keep up-to-date with new additions via this RSS feed.
• City College Manchester (CCM) Hairdressing on OurTube. CCM has a number of Hairdressing video resources hosted on it's Ourtube resources. These can be viewed on-line or downloaded for use on Ipods or mobile phones.
• Further Hairdressing Training resources can be reliably searched for using Intute. Or Intute can be searched in general using the following.

Rough Cuts is administered by Mimas, who host the elearning materials of the website Hairdressing Training on behalf of JISC Collections. Materials on Hairdressing Training are provided by Jordan Burr and the service is funded by the Learning and Skills Councils (LSC).
